Gail outdoors with her camera

Home

Hi, I’m Gail! ๐Ÿ‘‹

I’m registered disabled and love to photograph wildlife, landscapes, and the moments you notice when you slow down (and my two cats, Katniss๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ› and Ozzy๐Ÿˆ). I can’t walk too far, especially carrying photography kit, so I’ve had to get creative about how I shoot.

I’m interested in what’s actually possible with the body you have, the time you have, and the kit you can realistically carry and afford. I’m a self-employed single mum so most of my equipment is preloved. No lens here cost more than ยฃ1,000, and you really don’t need to spend a fortune to get results you’re proud of ๐Ÿ“ธ

A lot of wildlife photography content assumes you can hike for miles and spend thousands on gear. That’s no longer my reality, so I’ve learned to work with what I’ve got instead.

This is a quiet corner of the internet for photos, Lightroom notes, and stories from behind the camera, including the days when things don’t go to plan. With ADHD too, that’s fairly often ๐Ÿ˜„

Lightroom, camera bits, and a few genuinely useful tools. Some are affiliate links which help cover the costs of visiting all the lovely places and retain memberships to the wildlife charities I love such as the RSPB and West Midland Bird Club.
